posted 02/02/2010 The College of Southern Maryland Softball team is offering a pre-season "specialty" clinic! It is scheduled for Sat Feb 13. We have 90-minute sessions covering offense (it starts at 9 AM), defense (that starts at 11 AM) and pitching (that also starts at 11 AM). You can pick one or two sessions. A single session costs $20. If you register for 2 sessions, the total is $30. Again, this is a CSM Softball fundraiser - but we are trying to keep it at a reasonable cost. The flyer with registration info is attached.
In order to provide the best learning experience within the space we have in the PE Bldg, the offensive and defensive skills sessions will be LIMITED to the FIRST 20 REGISTERED in each session. The pitching session will be LIMITED to the FIRST 6 REGISTERED. Registrations will be processed on a first-received basis until we reach the max for the particular session.

A) You can mail your registration along with your check (payable to "CSM Softball") to:

B) You can drop off the registration with payment at a CSM softball practice (Mon-Thurs, 1 PM until 3 PM in the CSM PE Bldg);
C) Get it to one of the CSM Coaches (phone numbers are on the flyer); OR
D) Drop it off in a sealed envelope with "Bill Hitte, CSM Softball Clinic" on the outside - at my office at the CSM La Plata Campus in the Business and Industry Building Room BI-214 (Maryland Small Business Development Center), just over the cafeteria. If you're on the "BI" 2nd floor and get lost, simply ask for Bill Hitte's office at the "SBDC".
Looking forward to having our CSM softball players pro-actively involved in these sessions. Our CSM season opens in just 5 weeks and we've had 2 excellent weeks of practices already. More clinic details are below. Thanks for passing this info on to your players!

SESSION TIMES FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS: Offensive skills from 9 AM until 10:30 AM. Defensive skills 11 AM until 12:30 PM. Pitching skills 11 AM until 12:30 PM. Please try to arrive about 15 minutes before the start time.
LOCATION: Check-in and walk-up registration (if any slots are still open) will be at the main entrance to the La Plata Campus PE Building. Plenty of free parking in front of the PE Building - across South Campus Drive. Handicapped parking is at the opposite side of the PE building from the tennis courts. CAN PARENTS STAY AND WATCH?: As before, that's fine...again the entire gym floor and adjacent rooms will be used for the clinic, so there will be no bleachers available. Parents are free to use the "2nd floor" main concourse of the PE Building which overlooks the gym floor. Limited seating available.
WALK-UP REGISTRATIONS: If spots are available, will be accepted until we reach our maximum for EACH SESSION.
